Uniform
The wearing of school uniform is encouraged at New Haw. It is an important factor in establishing and maintaining standards of behaviour and pupil presentation and all children are expected to wear it.
It is particularly important that the items below are purchased from our supplier, School Uniform Direct in West Byfleet. All uniform underlined below is available from School Uniform Direct at their shop or online at www.schooluniformdirect.co.uk. These items of uniform are marked with the school logo and are an integral part of the uniform. Items not underlined may be purchased from a retailer of your choice.

No jewellery may be worn during PE lessons. Please do not have your child’s ears pierced during term time, as pierced earrings must be removed before lessons.
School Bags
A New Haw school bag is an important item of school kit. Due to lack of space in our corridors, we are unable to accommodate rucksacks. Therefore you are requested to buy the school bag, as part of the school uniform, from School Uniform Direct.
Shoes
Please provide ‘sensible’ footwear (shoes or sandals). For girls, platform soles and/or high heels can be dangerous in school and must not be worn. If wellingtons are worn to school in wet weather, children must have other footwear to change into during the day. Trainers may be brought to school for wear during playtime or outdoor games only.
Stationery
We will provide all stationery (pens, pencils, erasers etc) that your child will need in class.
Lost Property
One of our time consuming problems is lost property and we try to match children with their belongings, which are all too often unmarked. Please could you make sure that all your child’s belongings and clothing are clearly marked with their name.
General
For art and craft work in school the children really need some sort of overall. An old shirt of Dad's put on back to front is excellent for the purpose. We have found the paint to be less washable than the manufacturers claim.
